He is survived by: his children, Lynne Case (Mike) and Steve Darcangelo (Kathy); his grandchildren, Kyle Sutton (Amanda), Shelby Bierwiler (Jason), Lauren Case, Alexi Sonner (Mickey) and Richard W. Darcangelo, II; his great grandchildren, Mason of Painted Post, Easton Sutton of Painted Post, Wyatt Bierwiler of Painted Post, Gavin of Painted Post, Parker of Painted Post and Spencer Sonner of Painted Post; his siblings, Ruth Lewis of Painted Post, Jane Andrews (Steve) of Montour Falls and James Darcangelo (Mary Lou Smith) of Beaver Dams; and the mother of his children Patricia Darcangelo.
