It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alfred W. Thurston (Painted Post, New York), who passed away on July 16, 2018, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Thurston and Ola Thurston; and his siblings, Albert Thurston of Painted Post, Kay Kline and Winnifred King.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Brass of Elkland; his son Steven D.; his wife Deborah Thurston of Elkland; his daughter Laura M. of Painted Post; and also Shane Gardiner of Painted Post. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Alfred's name to the Elkland Area Community Library which is at 110 Parkway Avenue, Elkland, Pa 16920.
