She was predeceased by: her parents, T. Berton Smith and Flora Smith (Lewis); her husband Nicholas Sylstra; and her brother Charles Smith. She is survived by: her children, Nicholas, Susan Sylstra, James, Carole Sylstra, Cynthia and Harold Covey; and her sisters, Esther Wilson, Fern Pierce, Irma (David Petley) and Caroline (Robert). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
