It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Smith of Oxford, New York, who passed away on October 13, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edgar Burr and Mary Claire Burr (Fitzpatrick); her husband Robert Smith; her children, Robin Sortino of Utica, Maureen Jones, Don Heath of Florida and Scott Smith (Jinky) of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Robert Sortino, Corinne Sobiegra, Nathan Sortino (Nicole) and Brittany Jones; her great grandchildren, Raina Soriano and Derek Sortino; her siblings, Celia (Bob), Art Jones (Jackie), Dale Smith (Lisa), Gail Medici and Mike Smith; her son Terry; and her brother Richard. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
