He was predeceased by: his father Richard Eschler; his brother William Eschler; his parents-in-law, Charles Robert III and Marion Dean; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Robert Dean IV and Jim Hoit.

He is survived by: his mother Mary Rose Eschler; his wife Andrea Dean Eschler; his children, Rebecca Maffei (George), Jonathan Eschler (Alice Schavoir) and Amanda Halliday (Chad); his siblings, Catherine Eschler, Stephen Eschler (Kathy), Anne Eschler, Marita Hoit, Ellen Pasto (Ron), Timothy Eschler (Marica), Johnathan Eschler (Gail) and Eddie Wong; his siblings-in-law, Holly Hollenbeck (Ed) and James Dean; his grandchildren, Dorothy, Sawyer, August, Forrest, Lulu, Reed and Meri; and also, Catherine Eschler (Joe Yarabek), Lemon Yarabek, Sage Shadoan and Sequoia Shadoan.
