She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Pipher and Ruth Pipher; her husband John Shafer; her sister Joan Baker; and her foster daughter Alice Bidlack.
She is survived by: her children, Peter Shafer, Phoebe (Mark Morris) and Amelia (Scott Lushia); her grandchildren, Helen Morris, Edward Morris, John Lushia and Kateri Lushia; and her siblings, Rose Marie Shipman, Janice Pipher, Mary Ann Pipher, David Pipher and Steve Pipher. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
