He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Johnston and Beverly Johnston (Hellmers); his wife Maryann; his son Freddy; his grandson Christopher; and his siblings, Dale Johnston, John Johnston, Pete Bostwick, Victoria Lord, Orpha Johnston (Mitzy), Bonnie Johnston and Brenda Johnston.
He is survived by: his children, Valarie Foster, Shawn Craft (Jerry Reynolds) and Fred Johnston (Elizabeth); his siblings, Peggy Smith (John), Pixy Johnston, Maryann Glenn, Bonnie Tarntino (Mark), Mike Johnston (Mary), Steven Johnston (Michelle), Leo Johnston and Norman Johnston; his grandchildren, Anna (Billy), Brittany (Brett), Paul (Kait), Samantha (Alex), Kaitlyn (Seth), Michael, Matthew, Allison and Freddy; his friends, Jessie and Benny Harding; and his close friends, Mike Rorick and John Gardner. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
