He was predeceased by: his parents, David B. Reed and Beatrice Reed (Heintz); and his brothers, David, Richard and Robert Reed.
He is survived by: his close friend Carol Reed; his children, David E. Reed and Deborah Stoltzfus (Earl); his granddaughters, Morgan E. Stoltzfus and Aeryn M. Stoltzfus; and his sister Nancy Dieter.
