It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Catherine E. Derenthal (Owego, New York), who passed away on December 2, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert McCrossan and Nellie McCrossan of Manhattan, NYC.; her husband Edwin Derenthal (Owego); her son Peter; her grandson Keith Preston; and her siblings, Robert McCrossan and Mary Richardson.
She is survived by: her parents-in-law, Maureen Preston (Ken), Thomas Derenthal (Kathy DeBari), Brian Derenthal and Natalia Derenthal; her children, Samantha, Andrew (Jason) and Kathleen Derenthal; her sister Gladys Sargeant (Marty); and also, Sonia, Michael, Miranda Fernon, Gabriel, Max, Anne Prevost (Wayne), Lauren and Austin.
A memorial service and celebration of mom's life will be scheduled at a later date, when family and friends can get together free from the Covid-19 pandemic.
