He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcolm Updike and Patricia Updike; and his brother Neal. He is survived by: his significant other Tracy Shaw Updike; his siblings, Dale Updike (Karen) of Trumansburg, Cindy Allen (Todd) of Rochester, Kim Minges (Joe Keeler) of Ovid and Karla Golden (Dan) of Trumansburg; his pet Nugget; and also, Mike Shaw (Darlene) of Lodi, Pam Stephens of Manning, SC and Deborah Borning of Bokeelia, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
