He is survived by: his mother Peggy Oltz (Mel) of Interlaken; his son Derek McDonald; his grandson Zaden McDonald of California; his stepchildren, Shawn and Jamie O'Dell; his brother Colin McDonald; his niece Jenna; his nephew Andrew McDonald (Kimberly Wise); and his sisters, Jacque Frere, Debra Baker, Laurie, Deana and Brenna.
