With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn I. Hebner of Otto, New York, who passed away on April 18, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Evelyn departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Evelyn may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Evelyn leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Marek and Virgie Marek (Coleman); her husband Mark Hebner; her brother David Marek; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Marek.
She is survived by: her daughter Julie Hebner of Cattaraugus; and her brother Charles Marek of Cattaraugus. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mentley Funeral Home - Gowanda (105 E Main St, Gowanda, NY 14070). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
