She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Dibble and Agnes Dibble (All); her husband Bernard Neal Stanley; and her sister Rita Freeman. She is survived by: her daughters, Vicki (Kevin Fassett) and Kristi (Thomas Swatling); her grandchildren, Christopher Fassett, Daniel Fassett, Samantha Swatling (James Bouck), Jennifer (Steven Meyers) and Garret Fassett; her great grandchildren, Dustin, Britney, Peyton, Zarie, Addison, Tysen and Piper; and her sister Jean Buzie. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations go to the Otego Fire Department, River Street, Otego, NY 13825 in loving memory of Joan I. Stanley.
