It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Alexander McKinley of Otego, New York, who passed away on November 10, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William McKinley and Kathleen McKinley (Kennedy); his in-laws, Mario and Marian Mellini; his siblings, William J. McKinley, Elizabeth Schalk (Harry Schalk) and David McKinley; his brothers-in-law, John Guariglia and Frank Mitchell; and his grandson Edward A. McKinley III.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. McKinley of Otego, NY; his children, Lori Bomba (Christopher) of Unadilla, NY, Karen Alvin (Michael) of Otego, NY, Edward McKinley II of Otego, NY, Victoria Kimball (Mark) of Piney Flats, TN and Maureen Artale (Thomas) of Oneonta, NY; his grandchildren, Christopher Bomba II (Emily), Meghan Quinn (Ryan), Mallorie Bomba, Abbigail Bomba, Michael Alvin, Angela Sawyer (Jeremy), Jessica Alvin, Caitlin Reck (Geoff), Padriac Alvin, Liam Alvin, Payton McKinley, Alexa Kimball, Jacob Kimball, Sean Kimball, Abigael Artale and Declan Artale; his great grandchildren, Christopher Bomba III, Francesca Bomba, Kendall Quinn, Gabriel Alvin, Anna Alvin, Cliona Day, Carissa Day, Alec Day, Jordan Sawyer, Madelynn Sawyer, Gavin Sawyer, Grayson Sawyer and Gillian Reck; his great great grandchild Brooks Stewart; and his sisters-in-law, Louise McKinley, Joan Guariglia and Dolores Mitchell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Suny Oneonta Morris Conference Center (117 Morris Hall, Oneonta, NY 13820).
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made in his memory to the Otego Volunteer Fire Department, the Susquehanna SPCA, and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
