He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair Hitchman and Bertha Hitchman; his former wife Florence Robinson; his grandson Steven Robinson II; and his stepdaughter Shirley Clapper.

He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Robinson; his children, Steven (Connie Robinson), Doreen Gladle, Patricia (Willis Ferguson), Sandra (Boshant) and Clair Patty; and his stepsons, Gerald Clapper and Ted Clapper. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Donations in his memory are asked to be made to Helios Care, 297 River Street Service Rd, Oneonta, NY 13820.
