He was predeceased by: his parents, George McSweeney and Ann Cullinan McSweeney; his sister-in-law Tessie McSweeney; and his nephew Tito Ruiz. He is survived by: his wife Cathy McSweeney (Reedy); his children, Mollie McSweeney (Kyle Bardin) of West Virginia, Maggie McSweeney of Oswego, Bill McSweeney (Malorie Ruel) of Kentucky and Keeghan McSweeney of Oswego; his siblings, George McSweeney of Hawaii and Mary McSweeney of Oswego; and his grandchildren, Emma, Liam and Ella McSweeney. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home (112 E 2nd St, Oswego, NY 13126). A memorial service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
