He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McCarthy and Genivieve Kray McCarthy; and his spouse Shirlie Scharf McCarthy. He is survived by: his children, Timothy McCarthy (Faith) of Oswego and Michele McCarthy (Joseph Sellin) of Oswego; and his sister Mary Ann Hubbard of Arizona. He is also survived by six grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
