He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Detjen and Bertha Detjen (Ineich); his wife Jo Anne Wood; and his brothers, Karl, Robert, Donald and Stephen Detjen.
He is survived by: his children, Robin Dunsmoor of Oswego and William Palmisano of Syracuse; his sister Shirley Detjen-Amidom of South Carolina; and his sister-in-law Elaine Detjen of Mattydale. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
