She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Wilson and Mildred Wilson (Fisher); her brother Sheldon Wilson (a retired officer from the United States Navy's UDT program, now known as the U. S. Navy SEALs); her daughter Jane Fowler; and her husband Dr. Brian R, Betz (retired professor of Communication Studies at SUNY Oswego).
She is survived by: her sister Mary Jane Aylsworth of Evansville, Indiana; her children, Jill Fowler of Oswego, Jerry Fowler of Evansville and Brian R. Betz, Jr. of Oswego; and her nieces, Jan Aylsworth of Evansville and Joy Aylsworth Jones of Fort Wayne, Indiana..
