He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Winterhalt and Evelyn Winterhalt (Sprung); and his son John "Jack" Winterhalt. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn L. Winterhalt of Oswego; and his children, Charles Winterhalt (Jackie) of Fulton, David Winterhalt (Kim) of Oswego and Melissa "Missy" Hood of Oswego. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
