She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Bush and Millie Bush; her husband Francis Abare; her son Herbert Abare; her grandchildren, Michael Abare and Chelsea Abare; and her siblings, Ralph, Ted, Niles, Butch, Glenn, Shirley, Patty and Doris.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Sawyer (Gaylord) of Oswego, William Abare of Scriba, Cindy Acharya (Govind) of Arizona, Shirley Brett (Dan) of Scriba, Joan Abare of Oswego and Everett Abare (Ann) of Oswego; and her sister Carol "Petey" Perry (Bob) of Fonda, N. Y.. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.
