He is survived by: his sons, Paul E. Schmidt, Alan C. Schmidt (Mary Beth), Eric H. Schmidt (Kelly), John H. Schmidt and Gary H. Schmidt (Kate); his grandchildren, Timothy, Jeffrey, Henry Schmidt, Brittany and Taylor Rose; and his great grandchild Mackenzie Schmidt.
