He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hammond and Rose Hammond (Ladavaia); his son Fred Hammond; and his brothers, John Hammond, Frank Hammond and Carl Coe.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Hammond (Hogan) of New Haven; his daughter Lisa Maitland (Charles) of New Haven; his granddaughter Alyssa Facteau; his grandson-in-law Jay Kisselstein of Hastings; and his siblings, Joe Coe of Oswego, Ed Hammond (Pam) of Florida, Jim Hammond (Peggy) of Scriba, Henrietta Brown of Oswego and Isabel Richardson (Brian) of Oswego. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
