He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Brett and Elizabeth Brett (Earle); and his brother Kenneth Brett. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Brett (Abare); his children, Cody Brett (Bella Winklestine) of Oswego and Heather Curran (Michael) of Arizona; his grandson Crue Curran; his siblings, Kathy Barkley (Gordon), Steve Brett and John Brett (Kristin); and his nieces and nephews, Larry Stock, Tim Stock, Jason Bivens, Lana Guynup, Chancy Mattot, Ann Reynolds, Billy Reynolds, Emily Brett, Shannon Brett, Sarah Groom, Amanda Decker, Shantelle Brett, Danielle Brett, Jacob Brett and Jamie Brett.
