Murray W. Smithers Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 26, 2024, Murray W. Smithers of Oswegatchie, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter E. Smithers and Sarah Smithers (Durham); his aunt Marion Durham; his brothers-in-law, David Salcido, Forrest Pitts and Bernard Buckley; and his cousin Jerry Durham.

He is survived by: his wife Teri Smithers; his children, Jessica LaDuc (Derek), Sara Smithers (Mike LaPlant) and Murray Smithers II (Sarah); his sisters, Naomi Pitts, Nora Buckley and Doreen Salcido; his grandchildren, Riley, Logan, Landon, Philias, Kohrie and Emery; and his great grandchild MaeveLynne. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made in Murray's memory to the Star Lake Rescue Squad or to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
