With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mamie Washington (Ossining, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 22, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Meriet Mamie and Nora Walker Mamie; and her daughters, Donna (Pooh) and Cynthia Washington (Dooley). She is survived by: her siblings, Gladys Walker, Ola Matthews, Hallie Walker, Alice Patterson, Edith Johnson, Hayes, Edward and Alexander Walker; her children, Edith Washington (Baby) of Ossining and Alfred Washington of Virginia; her grandchildren, Lattoria, Emanuel, Jamar, Richard, Jasmine Cherry and Tiara Jones; and her great grandchildren, Messiah, Kamiya McCallop and Cairo Don Newton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Leach and Thomas Funeral Home (45 S Highland Ave, Ossining, NY 10562). A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
