She was predeceased by: her parents, Uriah Marshall and Beatrice Crosby; and her son Carvel Nelson. She is survived by: her husband Vernal; and her children, Bradley Burnside (Charmane), Lavern Howard (Dennis), Janet Jamal (Jeffrey), Christopher Burnside (Berthe) and David Burnside. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and host of nieces and nephews.
