He was predeceased by: his daughter Tiffany Winkler-Essary; and his father-in-law Ira "Cibo" Shorter. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his daughters, Siobhan LaFave (Bill), Shirah Linson (Ashley) and Tara Winkler; his grandson Ernest Miles Henry Essary; his mother Beth K. Lamont; and his mother-in-law Bobbie Jean Shorter. He is also survived by Ten brothers and sisters, a bounty of nieces and nephews and many friends.
