He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Nielsen and Emma Nielsen; and his wife Patricia. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Huntington and Heather Nielsen (William Twardy). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and five great- grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to Maria Fareri Children's Hospital.
