He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hewell and Maggie Hewell (Sorrow). He is survived by: his wife Martha Sherman Hancock; and his sons, Jody Hewell (Tami) of Archdale, Jim Hewell (Judi) of Phoenix and Jerry Hewell (Lori) of Orwell. He is also survived by his wife, three sons, nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, in addition to one great-grandchild.
