He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Doris Heichberger (Wilcox); his children, Vivian Lynn Bulbulia (John) and Craig William Heichberger; his grandchildren, Ashley, Ethan and Aubrey; and his siblings, Margaret Heichberger, John Heichberger (Carol), Raymond Heichberger, Barbara Hurd (Burton), Albert Heichberger and JoAnne Heichberger. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
