He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine (Kisicki); his parents, Edmund Ratajczak and Josephine Ratajczak (Prinzbach); and his brothers, Joseph Ratajczak (late Margaret) and Frederick Ratajczak (Judith).
He is survived by: his children, Robert E Jr. (Bridget), Roseanne Ackermann (Bradley), Brian (Kimberly) and Daryl Ratajczak (Sandra); and his sister Patricia Gasiecki (Joseph). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
