It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph P. Smith of Orchard Park, New York, who passed away on March 25, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Teresa Smith; his parents, Robert Smith and Maryann Strong (Gorman); and his siblings, Margaret Szymkowiak and Matthew Smith (Kathleen).
He is survived by: his wife Susan Smith (Linnan); his children, Patrick Smith (Maria), Kelly Asher-Smalt (Don Smalt), Michael Smith, Christopher Smith, Heather O'Donnell and Erin Ontiveros (Fernando); his siblings, James Smith, Robert Smith (Jean), Bridget Hund (John), Nancy Smith-Brucato and Gary Smith; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Kelly (late Shawn) and Carol Burke (late Patrick). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice Buffalo.
