He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Fields and Dorothy E. Fields (Whitton). He is survived by: his child Christian Charles Fields; his sisters, Debra MacWilliams (Tom) and Melissa Bove (Dale); his niece Amy SeKoch (Josh); his nephews, Matthew MacWilliams (Erika) and Aaron Bove (Liz); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jude, Kennedy, Henry, Griffin and Hannah. He is also survived by many loving cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Brown Sons Funeral Home (6575 E Quaker St, Orchard Park, NY 14127). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

If so desired, donations in Don's memory may be made to the Hillcrest Volunteer Fire Company or the NYS Department of Enviromental Conservation.
