She was loved and cherished by many people including : her spouse Thomas Simano; her children, Matt (Nikki), Thomas (Rachael), Sean (Heather) and Alex Simano; her grandchildren, Madelyn, Charlotte, Elijah, Zoey, Jaxson, Kennedy, Knox, Cameron and Violet; her parents, Robert Hammer and Paulette Schunke; and her siblings, Robert Hammer (Peggy), Antoinette Kapanek (William) and Lisa Smith (Karl).

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lombardo Funeral Home (Southtowns Chapel) (3060 Abbott Rd, Orchard Park, NY 14127). A funeral service was held on Sunday, June 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM.
