He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Gallivan and Catherine Gallivan (Herlihy); and his siblings, Paul Gallivan (Alice), Robert Gallivan (Nan), Richard Gallivan (Sally) and Mary Lou Dietrich (late Robert).

He is survived by: his siblings, Donald Gallivan (Sheila), Kathryn Kelley (James) and Kevin Gallivan (Ginna). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
