He was predeceased by: his father William C. Assel, Sr.; and his nephew Arlis Craft. He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Kane; his sisters, Catherine Cosco (Michael), Patricia Ciulla (Frank) and Theresa Craft (Kiel); his stepmother Margaret Assel; his nieces and nephews, Alexandria, Caleb, Natalie, Allison Dunham, Nicole Townsend, Roger Townsend, Alexis, Mark, Graham Wegman, Khloe, Wyatt, Tatum and Greer Craft; his close friends, Martha Guardia, Tom Rosdahl, Paul Grugnale and Joan Kane; and also Douglas Hague. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
