He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Sullivan; and his siblings, Byron "Bud" Sullivan and Blanche Kish. He is survived by: his children, William Sullivan (Lauren), Ann VanDusen (Donald) and John Sullivan (Sue); his grandchildren, Brittany Sullivan, Jaymie Sullivan, Becky Sheldon (Andrew), Robert VanDusen and Katie Sonneville (Pete); and his siblings-in-law, Carl Helvie, Beatrice Cheeseman and Laura Cronk (Ron).

In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Maurice can be made to the VFW Post 6338 in Gouverneur, NY.
