He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvatore Pilato and Theresa Pilato; his siblings, Frank, Joseph and Sandra; and his grandson Joshua.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Pilato; his children, Theresa Ann Congelosi (James Cariola) and James S. Pilato; and his sister Jeanne Carrier. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
