He was predeceased by: his parents, John Erwin and Rose Erwin; and his siblings, John Erwin II, Rosemary Mandel and Elizabeth Speary.

He is survived by: his wife Julie Erwin; his sons, Todd (Sheila) and Matt Erwin (Sarah); and his granddaughters, Layla and Rylee Erwin.
