She was predeceased by: her mother Marion Delorm; her husband Edward Schafer; and her son-in-law Frederick Gioia Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Sue Gioia, Steven Discavage (Sandy) and Edward Schafer II; her grandchildren, Stephanie Condon (Benjamin), Frederick Gioia Jr. (Sandy) and Shane Schafer (Karen); her great grandchild Sierra; and her close friend Kate Delorm. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
