He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jean; his children, Dale Jr. and Deborah Foringer (Rikk); and his sisters, Eunice Grace and Karen Welch (Ed). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Wayne Co. Humane Society or Lifetime Care Hospice.
