He was predeceased by: his son Derick; and his father Albert. He is survived by: his mother Beverly Bogardus; his sister Laurie Novelli (John); and his nieces and nephews, Felicia Smith (Jake), Christopher Werlau (Sarena), Amanda Eckert (Ryan), Thomas Werlau (McKenzie) and Stephanie Jasak (Shane).
