It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maurice C. Wightman of Onondaga Hill, New York, born in Binghamton, New York, who passed away on June 21, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Maurice may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Maurice touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his son Mark B. Wightman; and his parents, Maurice Wightman and Jeanne Wightman. He is survived by: his wife Vera; his daughter Mary-Elizabeth Wightman of Lake Placid; and his siblings, Melvern (Sandra) of Chenango Forks, Nancy Riley (Jim) of Dunnellon, FL and Shirley Dahl of San Rafael, CA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
