He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmelo LaParo of San Fratello and Margaret Sammon of Clogher; his brothers, Anthony and Henry LaParo; his daughter Jeanette Vassar; and his grandson Charles Vassar.
He is survived by: his wife Myung Ja (Lee); his daughter Mona LaParo; and his grandchildren, Peter, Larissa, Bridget Hanuszczak, Laura Kelley (Sean), Elisabeth Vassar and Katherine Sullivan (James).
