It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Hayes of Onondaga Hill, New York, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 9, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John J. "Jack" Hayes; her parents, Matthew Caldwell and Marion Casar Caldwell; her siblings, Alice Trainor, Marion Galanaugh and Matthew Caldwell; her grandson Michael Raus; and her great grandchild Piper Humbert.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela M. Raus, John E. "Jack" Hayes (Susan) and Matthew D. Hayes (Louise); her grandchildren, John J. "Jack" (Susan), David (Jennifer), Kiersten (John), Amber, Sheehan, Matthew (MacKenzie), McKenzie (Jan), Amy, Carol (Steve), Ashley and Jesse (Katie); and her great grandchildren, Jack, Selina, Liam, Hailey, Haddie, Savannah, Aria, Alex, Lincoln, Lucas, Tyler, Cayden, Jackson, Grant, Owen, Kennedy, Emory, Mitchell, Caidence, Sawyer, Wyatt, Troian, Madsen and Callum. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Butler-Badman Funeral Home (4504 W Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY 13215). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Church of St. Michael & St. Peter (4791 W Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY 13215).
