She was predeceased by: her father Ellis Eugene Tolbert; her husband Brian Dwyer; and her brother Donald Bailey. She is survived by: her children, Karina Preston (Aleya Backus) and Garrett Roe; her mother Dorothy Bailey; her siblings, Laura Tolbert (John Calleja) and Fred (Kathryn Sellards); her nieces and nephews, Ashley Buzzy, Amber Tolbert, Jacqueline Stiefel, Wayne Shutters, Megan Sellards, Cassandra Burke, Tyler Sellards, Donald Bailey and Samantha Norris Bailey; and her friend Dana "Doc" Finch.
