He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Carr and Thelma Carr (Winslow); his son Dennis Carr; and his brothers, Gerald and Dale Carr.

He is survived by : his wife Gloria Brown; his sons, Kevin Carr and Timothy Carr (Jacky); his daughter-in-law Susan Carr; his grandchildren, Steven Carr (Courtney), Stefanie Hale (Aaron), Joshua Carr (Dennise), Chad Carr (Brittany), Chelsea Tang (Collin), Jacob Carr and Erica Carr; his great grandchildren, Aiden Carr, Madelynn Carr, Elara Almy, Rowan Hale, Cameron Carr and Liam Tang; and his sister Norma Slawson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bookhout Funeral Home (357 Main St, Oneonta, NY 13820). A celebration of life was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
