He is survived by: his parents, Sandra Crotts and William Crotts; his children, Annemarie and Ryan Crotts; his friend James Loudon; and his former wife Alison Crotts. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bookhout Funeral Home (357 Main St, Oneonta, NY 13820). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (39 Walnut St, Oneonta, NY 13820).
A proud 1999 graduate of Laurens High School, John was a recipient of the Clark Foundation scholarship, which helped him pursue higher education at SUNY Oneonta, where he graduated with honors in 2004.
