She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Vaughan and Beatrice Vaughan (Dibble); her son Brian Mathewson; and her brother Hugh Vaughan. She is survived by: her husband Peter R. Mathewson; her sons, Peter Mathewson, Jr. (Mary Jane) and Michael Mathewson (Jessica); her grandchildren, Joshua Mathewson (Monica), Jonathan Mathewson and Christina Paddock (Ian); her great grandchildren, Maverick McConnell, Elijah Paddock and Natalie Paddock; and her brother Jim Vaughan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the West Oneonta Baptist Church (2845 County Rd 8, West Oneonta, NY 13861). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
